How do I order Travel Money Online?

You can order your travel money online simply by following the 6 easy steps detailed below.

  1. Select the currency amount in Euros you want to order.
  2. Select if you would like insured postal delivery or collect from a ChangeGroup Helsinki Oy branch.
  3. If you have chosen to collect your currency from a ChangeGroup Helsinki Oy bureau, select the location, date & time (AM/ PM).
  4. Select if you would like to add Buy-Back Protection to your order.
  5. Carefully enter your home address & contact details.
  6. Select your preferred bank for payment.

How much will I be charged when ordering travel money online?

ChangeGroup Helsinki Oy is one of the leading global providers of foreign exchange and our online service provides great value. We don’t charge commission on any online foreign currency orders and should you choose to take advantage of our insured postal delivery service, a flat fee of 12,90 € will be applied and displayed in the order summary. This allows you to order in excess of 500,00 € knowing that the incremental postal fees are covered by ChangeGroup.


Will I be charged for delivery to my local Post Office?

If you choose an order to be delivered to your local Post Office a flat fee of 12,90 € will be applied and displayed in the order summary.

All our currency postal deliveries are covered against loss, theft and damage.

Please note, we reserve the right to amend pricing from time to time to reflect any changes in postal costs.


How much can I order online?

All online purchases are subject to approval from your bank and the limits are set as per the terms and conditions with your Bank.

Can I order more than one currency?

Yes, you can order more than one currency as long as the overall order does not exceed the approved limit of your Bank or the overall order does not exceed 2 500,00 €.

Can my order be delivered to an address of my choice?

No, for security purposes, we can only deliver to your nearest local post office.

How will my order be delivered?

Sending money via Post (Itella’s terms and conditions)

All letters and parcels containing money, securities, precious metals, or products made from precious metals must be sent as Insured Items. The items are then covered against loss, theft and damage.

When an insured letter or parcel arrives at the post office, a notification of arrival is sent out to the recipient.

Items are only handed over against the signature of the recipient or a person authorised by the recipient. If the sender has specified that only the recipient may collect the item, the item will not be handed out to a representative even when authorised by the recipient.

The price for an Insured Item is calculated based on the item’s weight and value.

What happens if my order doesn't arrive at my local Post Office?

If you do not receive your order by the agreed time please call our Travel Money Online help desk on 09-7530 009 or email us at tilaukset@changegroup.fi

This telephone number is also on your Order Acknowledgement email when you buy currency online.

What identification do I need to collect my currency from a ChangeGroup branch?

When collecting your order at one of our branches, you will need to provide the following:

  1. The order acknowledgment confirmation (please print email)
  2. Your valid Passport, Finnish Driving Licence or Identity card with picture (The name on the ID must match that of the bank account holder)
  3. Collection is subject to the opening times of the designated collection branch (details will be notified to you at the time of the order and can also be obtained on our web site). Please remember to allow sufficient time to make your collection before departure.

What identification do I need to collect my currency from a Local Post Office?

When collecting your order at your local Post Office you will need to provide the following:

  1. Your valid Passport, Finnish Driving Licence or Identity Card with picture.

The currency I need is not listed, how can I order it?

If the currency you require is not listed online please use one of the following options:

I placed an order but I did not receive an email confirmation, what should I do?

As our confirmation system is automated this should not happen, however in such an instance you should contact us at tilaukset@changegroup.fi or call our Travel Money online helpdesk on 09-7530 009

How do I know what rate of exchange is being applied?

To check our rates before ordering please use our currency calculator. The exchange rates are also displayed throughout the ordering process.

Can I change the details of my order once I have received confirmation?

You may not make any amendments to an order once payment has been accepted and confirmation received.

Can I cancel my order?

There are options available for cancelling you order, please refer our terms & conditions for further details.

Will I receive the same rates on your website as if I just turned up at one of our branches and not order online beforehand?

No, the rates shown on our website are extremely competitive and are some of the best available anywhere. We are able to offer these exceptional rates because we do not incur the same overheads for our online business as we do on the high street. You can arrange to have the currency you have ordered online delivered to your local Post Office (The Post Office nearest your home) or you can pick it up at one of our branches.

How do I know my payment details are secure?

We are aware that you may feel uncertain about purchasing online, but we can reassure you that it is perfectly safe to do so, as we are a recognised provider of foreign exchange with over 20 years experience. ChangeGroup Helsinki Oy operates a fully secure online order system so that all personal information you enter is protected. We comply with PCI standards and we will be using secured servers with all relevant data being encrypted. Please note, we will never ask you for your user name and password to be sent by email. How secure is my personal data?

The ChangeGroup Helsinki Oy will never release your data to third parties except for processing your payment. The ChangeGroup Helsinki Oy may however periodically contact you regarding offers or send you Promotional Codes which may interest you to use on our web site. Naturally you can opt out of these e-mails by clicking on the appropriate link on the bottom of the e-mail. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.

What are the benefits of our Buy-Back Protection?

Our Buy-Back Protection offer saves you money by securing the rate, so that you do not lose on exchange rates when returning any of your left over travel money to us. There is no commission levied when you return your currency if you opt for this service. Please see our Terms & Conditions for further details.

What do I do with the unused currency after my return?

We provide a commission-free buy-back facility at all our branches. You will need to produce your original receipt showing your travel money was purchased from Change Group Helsinki Oy. Please note we will only buy back currencies in the denominations that we sell and commission free to the value of the original purchase. In order to guarantee the same rate you can select the Buy-Back protection option when ordering your foreign currency for only 10,95 € per order.

Please send your left over currency (by Insured Postal Delivery) to Travel Money Online Buy-Back Service, The Change Group Helsinki Oy, WTC Helsinki Lentäjäntie 3, 01530 Vantaa and your bank account will be credited or visit one of our branches and we will convert back to local currency notes.

Separate Terms & Conditions apply to the two Buy-Back options available.

What time does the Travel Money order helpline open?

Our Travel Money helpline is open from Monday to Thursday 9:00 - 18:00 and on Fridays 9:00 - 15:00 excluding bank/public holidays.

Internet orders can be placed 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

A simple guide to your postal delivery service
Your currency order will be sent as an insured letter and it will be sent to your nearest post office determined by your postal code. We aim to dispatch the orders latest on the following working day from the day order has been placed. Posti's estimated delivery time for insured letters is between 1-3 working days. We cannot guarantee Posti’s delivery time.
You will receive an email when the currency order has been dispatched. When the order has arrived to your local post office you will receive a notification by SMS to the number you provided when making the order.
To collect your order you need an identification card with a photo and Posti’s notification of arrival. Orders are kept 14 days in the post office.
